In case you missed it, Corbin Bleu and Dove Cameron co-starred in three live performances of the musical MAMMA MIA! at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this past weekend. Dove played Sophie, the young woman on a quest to find her father's true identity before she gets married. Corbin played Sky, her fiancé.

Corbin dished to BroadwayWorld.com about what it was like to play Dove's love interest.

"When I first auditioned for the show, I asked who I would be playing opposite me," he said. "And even though they could not tell me at first, they told me she was someone I would really like. And when I found out it was Dove, I was thrilled since I respect her and her talent very much."

In a behind-the-scenes video clip on Instagram, Dove pointed out that she and Corbin both grew up on the Disney Channel. Dove first started working with the network in 2012 and was the breakout star of Liv & Maddie when it debuted in 2013; later, she blossomed into roles in Descendants and Descendants 2. As for Corbin, he starred in three High School Musical movies in 2006, 2007, and 2008, as well as the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! in 2007.

Corbin recalled the process of landing his HSM role to BroadwayWorld.com — and it sounds intense.

"My agent sent me on the audition, which wound up being several meetings with the director, then singing and dancing, and playing basketball," he said. "There were seven different tiers of the audition process before I was cast. Then it all happened very quickly."
