CLEVELAND, Ohio - The only news anyone has about this year's biggest question heading into the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony is that there is no news.

Since the announcement that Journey will be inducted at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 7, fans have been wondering if former singer Steve Perry will be on hand, let alone perform with the band.

Since Journey won the annual Fan Vote and earned induction, Perry has issued just one statement: "I am truly grateful that Journey is being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame." That's it.

Journey guitarist Neil Schon has said the door is open for Perry to perform with the band and that any resistance to a reunion isn't coming from Journey's end. Recently, Schon indicated on Twitter that he hasn't heard from Perry and doesn't know what the former frontman will do:

Meanwhile, if the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame does know what Perry is planning, it's playing coy.

"The band's welcomed him. The fans want it. He knows about it. We'll see." Says Todd Mesek, VP of Marketing and Communications.

It isn't out of the ordinary for Perry to remain quiet. The man rarely gives interviews. In 2015, he announced he was working on a new album, which has yet to come out.

Perry hasn't played a full show with Journey in 30 years. Though, he did join the band when Journey was given its star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005.

That moment 12 years ago offers a slight glimmer of hope that Perry might be in attendance on April 7 in New York City. But clearly he's the only one who knows whether or not that will happen.
