Free music fest returns to St. Augustine with Steve Earle, Los Lobos, Dirty Dozen Brass Band

More than 100 acts are scheduled to perform over three weekends in St. Augustine at the Sing Out Loud Festival, touted as the largest free music festival ever held in St. Johns County.

Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Los Lobos, Steve Earle, Lake Street Dive and others are slated to play free shows at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Colonial Oak Music Park, Lincolnville, Limelight Theatre and other venues. Last year’s festival drew more than 15,000 people to 10 venues around the city.

Saturday, Sept. 9: Lake Street Dive, Lucero, Amanda Shires, Matthew Logan Vasquez, This Frontier Needs Heroes, Darren Hanlon and Shelley Short at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Sunday, Sept. 10: Steve Earle, Los Lobos and John Moreland at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Friday, Sept. 15: Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Lincolnville.

Saturday, Sept. 16: Justin Townes Earle, Lydia Loveless and Wax Wings at Lincolnville

Sunday, Sept. 17: The Infamous Stringdusters, Dave Simonett and Joe Pug at Colonial Oak Music Park.

Friday, Sept. 22: Langhorne Slim and Mariee Sioux at Colonial Music Park.

Sunday, Sept. 24: Wolf Parade, Deer Tick and Blackfoot Gypsies at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
