August 29, 2015, 2:56 PM

A piece of Metro Detroit history is sold.

The late Dr. Jack Kevorkian's 1968 VW Minibus was sold this past week by American Jewelry & Loan in northwest Detroit to reality TV paranormal investigator Zak Bagans, WWJ reports that

Seth Gold of the the pawn shop that's featured on the TruTV show "Hardcore Pawn," tells WWJ that his family bought the minibus for $20,000 and made a $15,000 profit in the sale.

“It was crazy because I was walking through the warehouse and I saw it in the back and I’m like, ‘It’s time to get rid of this thing,'” Gold told WWJ Newsradio 950’s Sandra McNeill on Friday. “And so I had my eCommerce department put it online.

“(Bagans) inquired about the van yesterday, and we made a deal late last night, and he submitted payment this afternoon."
