NICOMA PARK, Okla. – One person was killed, another is in critical condition and a third is in custody after a crash in Nicoma Park, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

“I saw the motorcycle laying on it’s side, and then I saw the traffic,” said Devon Barlor, a witness.

“What we understand right now is that there was some type of a crash involving our suspect vehicle and another vehicle back at Northeast 23rd and Westminster,” said Mark Opgrande with the OCSO.

Opgrande said the driver then continued down the road to Post Road.

The driver, 42-year-old Mario Cherry, then overtook and drove over two motorcyclists.

Authorities believe he may have been drinking.

Cherry was arrested for manslaughter, resisting arrest and other traffic related charges.

Witnesses said business owners in the area all came together to help out on scene.

“We’re all such a close knit community, especially among the businesses. So, to see all of the business owners out trying to help and do whatever we can is pretty enlightening,” Barlor said.

Authorities said this is being investigated as a road rage incident.
