Robert Phillip Jensen

Jensen, Robert Phillip Age 92 of Minot, ND (formerly of Mpls) died of natural causes and went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2014. Robert was born July 15, 1922 in Hendricks, MN, the son of Arthur and Anna (Erickson) Jensen. He proudly and willingly served his country in WWII and spent the rest of his adult life serving the people and needs of his community. Robert worked 30+ years in sales in the Mpls area making friends wherever he went. In 1946, he married Lorraine Langlie. She passed away in 1971. Together, they raised 3 children: Bonnie, Ron and Nancy. In 1973, he married Violet Brodin and happily welcomed her two children, Carol and Mark into his life. In 1977 they moved from Minneapolis to rural Donnybrook and eventually Berthold. Violet passed away in 2009. Since then, Robert made his residence Minot. Robert is survived by his children: Bonnie (Paul) Langenfeld of Eden Prairie, MN; Ron (Lorraine) Jensen of Eagan, MN; Nancy (Rick) Lawson of Minot, ND; Carol (Wally) Birkeland of Minot, ND; Mark (Gerarda) Brodin of Rapid City, SD. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association, Veteran's Association or donor's choice. Celebration of Life Service: Wednesday, December 17 at 10:00 am at Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 4pm until 7pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Interment: Carpio Lutheran Cemetery, Carpio, ND.
