A 62-year-old Elkland man is in police custody after setting a fire inside an apartment.
Details from the Elkland Police, reported by First News Now, said the incident happened before 8 o’clock Saturday morning at Forestview manor.
The fire was quickly extinguished by the Elkland Fire Department. The Osceola Fire Department and Valley Community Ambulance provided assistance.
Police added the man had a psychiatric emergency before the incident. He was taken to Soldier’s and Sailor’s Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
