HALIFAX – Vince Vaughn‘s Wild West Picture Show Productions is backing a Canadian comedy vehicle for stand-up comedian Angelo Tsarouchas.
The Canadian Greek comic will topline The Angelo Show, a multi-cam comedy inspired by Tsarouchas. The project is currently in development with Canadian broadcaster CTV. Vaughn, Howard Busgang and Tom Nursall are executive producing The Angelo Show, which has yet to be picked up as a pilot.

Tsarouchas played a taxi driver on Sullivan & Son, Vaughn’s TBS comedy from Wild West Picture Show Productions and Warner Horizon Television.
The Angelo Show joins a developing slate of other local CTV comedies: Method, from Rookie Blue producers Ilana Frank, David Wellington, Gregory Smith and Sonia Hosko; Ungrown Up, from Funny as Hell’s Adam Brodie, David Derewlany and Evi Regev (Bullet in the Face); and The Team, a multi-cam sitcom about a rag-tag group of friends from Canadian TV scribe Rob Sheridan.
The broadcaster is also developing an untitled Mark McKinney project from Breakthrough Entertainment, as well as Letterkenny, a comedy from indie producer New Metric Media and based on the popular YouTube series “Letterkenny Problems,” with Jared Keeso attached.
