Transient Found On Danville High School Campus Arrested

Police said the man, who was on probation, stuck a security guard who confronted him.

DANVILLE, CA — A transient is in jail after he allegedly hit a security guard who confronted him for being on a Danville high school campus this week. Iver Hilde, 49, was found on the San Ramon Valley High School campus Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police said Hilde ran to the school parking lot after he struck the school’s security guard. Hilde, who is on probation but not armed during the incident, was arrested on suspicion of battery, trespassing and violating probation. He is being held on $3,000 bail, according to Contra Costa County jail records.

“We want to assure everyone that the trespassing was not done with intent to cause harm at the school. The Danville Police Department and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District place a high priority on the safety of the students and staff at SRVHS, which is why the response and arrest were carried out swiftly.”
