Any true Alexis Bledel fan will know her from Gilmore Girls, the best show of all time (I DON'T NEED TO HEAR ANY COUNTER ARGUMENTS). But Bledel is in the midst of a career renaissance thanks to a starring role in The Handmaid's Tale, which is almost as good as Gilmore Girls but not quite (do not @ me).

Alexis keeps her personal life *extremely* personal, meaning we don't know much about her relationship with Vincent Kartheiser. But the good news is Vincent's a pretty famous actor so there's a lot of information to mine. Here are 13 need-to-know facts about him. But first:

He Played Pete in Mad Men

Vincent played the insufferable-yet-lovable Pete Campbell in Mad Men, and during his time on the show gifted the world one of the greatest memes of all time:

A Little Bit About His Name

Apparently, Vincent's friends call him "Vinnie" and "Fruity Lavender," and "VK Broiler," and his last name is pronounced KARTH-eyes-er.

He Also Played Connor on Angel, Which, LOL

Vincent Met Alexis on Set of Mad Men

Remember when Alexis had a brief post-Gilmore Girls stint on Mad Men as Pete's love interest? Well, fiction became reality, because the pair announced their engagement in March 2013 and were married in California in June 2014.

He Has a Child with Alexis and Their Pregnancy Was TOP SECRET

In fact, Alexis gave birth in Fall 2015 without telling anyone, and the media didn't get hold of the news until MAY 2016.

Gilmore Girls Star Scott Patterson Spilled the Baby Beans

Classic Luke! No, but really, Scott accidentally spilled Alexis's big news for her, saying, "She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy... We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year-and-a-half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company."

SCOTT. You had ONE JOB.

One Time He High-Key Shaded Alison Brie

Mad Men star Alison Brie (who played Vincent's wife on the show) also starred in Community, and Vincent had this to say about it: "I don't really watch TV. I mean, I do, but I don't watch that kind of TV. I watch some comedies, but not that one. God, I sound like an asshole."

He Used to Wear a Fake Wedding Ring to Ward Women Off

This one is pretty weird. Vincent told the Guardian, "I've never been monogamous. It might happen, but it never has yet. I don't understand women, I'm off that kick. [I wear a wedding ring] just so I can flash it to warn people off if I need to, or at least put it on in the morning."

He Set Up Christina Hendricks with Her Husband

Vincent is BFF with a magician named Derek Hughes, and introduced Christina Hendricks to her husband Geoffrey Arend at one of his magic shows. Basically he's gunning for cupid's job.

He Used to Date Rachael Leigh Cook

Apparently, Vincent dated '90s icon Rachael Leigh Cook for four months in '98 after they met on the set of All I Wanna Do, which quite frankly seems like the best movie of all time.

He Has a Gazillion Siblings

By which we mean five. Vincent has four sisters and one brother who grew up together in Minnesota with their parents Janet and James. "My parents spent any extra money they had on us kids and our enrichment," he told Vulture. "We didn’t have a TV, but we had a baby grand Steinway and Sons piano. We didn’t have a lot of sports gear, like skis or hockey equipment, but there was a lot of art on the walls in my house."

And delightful/cozy fact: Vincent went to school somewhere called Apple Valley. A valley! FULL OF APPLES!

He's Not into Social Media

"Personal expression has become a form of entertainment, and that’s very sad," he said. "You used to have to earn your position to have a microphone in your mouth. Now everyone in the world has their own little soapbox to talk about what they want. I guess it’s good. What do I know? I sound like an old man, don’t I?"
