PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia and China on Tuesday signed documents on mine clearance, preparation of transport master plan and renovation of the Angkor Thom Royal Palace.

The documents were inked here between Cambodian and Chinese officials under the presence of Cambodian Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth and Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan. (Cambodia-China-Aid)

VIENTIANE -- Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh arrived in Vientiane on Tuesday for a four-day visit to Laos.

SUVA -- Tonga held on Tuesday a U.N. regional meeting for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Pacific region to review progress in implementing the SAMOA Pathway, the dedicated program of action for SIDS.

According to Matangi Tonga Online, Tonga's leading news website, speaking at the opening of the meeting in Tonga's capital city of Nuku'alofa, Tonga's Prime Minister Samuela 'Akilisi Pohiva said that the meeting was at a critical juncture in terms of their common interests in the sustainable development of their islands. CANBERRA -- Both Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Chinese Ambassador Cheng Jingye said on Tuesday that it was time to put aside any mistrust in bilateral relationship and work toward a more respectful and constructive accord.
