After a few delays, Jay Critch just dropped his debut mixtape, Hood Favorite. Offset, French Montana, and Fabolous join the Brooklyn rapper on the project, which features production from Harry Fraud, CashMoneyAP, Jamz, and more.
The mixtape includes the single, “Ego,” which Critch recently broke down on Genius' series Verified:
During the interview, the Rich the Kid affiliate spoke about wanting to serve as a role model to the new generation of rappers in New York City. “There’s a lot of younger people coming out the city right now, so if I could be a role model to the younger generation, that’d mean everything to me,” Jay Critch tells Genius. “I'ma keep showing them, that you gotta keep grinding, keep working. And you can do whatever.”
