Array holds groundbreaking for new manufacturing facility in New Mexico
Apr 26, 2024 18:56 CESTUS energy storage company Greensmith Energy has secured an order to deliver a 1-MW/2-MWh energy storage system in Massachusetts from solar and storage provider Origis Energy USA.
The order is for a community solar plus storage project that Origis is deploying under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Sterling Municipal Light Department (SMLD). The project will consist of a 1-MW rooftop solar array and a 1-MW/2-MWh energy storage system.
Greensmith, part of Finalnd's Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V), said it will deliver the energy storage installation on a fast-track basis, using LG Chem batteries and Sungrow inverters. The project is expected to be up and running by the end of March. The company will also operate and maintain the storage facility for 10 years.
The order was recorded in the final quarter of 2017, Greensmith said.
