KENT, Wash. — Troopers are investigating after a driver was shot Thursday night on Interstate 5 in Kent.
At about 11:30 p.m., a driver called 911 to report that he had been shot while driving on southbound I-5 and that he had taken himself to the AM/PM on South 272nd Street.
When troopers arrived, they found the man faced down in the parking lot and a woman was applying a paper towel to his lower back where he had been shot.
The Washington State Patrol said the driver was on I-5 from 200th Street when a car fired at his car near South 240th Street.
The victim, a 31-year-old Seattle man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said the man’s car had 10 bullet holes on the left side.
The victim did not provide a description of the suspect or the suspect vehicle.
