Northbrook Native to Appear on Jeopardy!
Jack Paleczny will fulfill a lifelong dream on Jan. 9 when he will watch himself on the popular game show hosted by Alex Trebek.
NORTHBROOK, IL - Northbrook native Jack Paleczny will be a contestant on the Jan. 9 episode of Jeopardy!, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Paleczny told the Chicago Tribune the show featuring him was filmed in September. It was the culmination of years of attempts to get on the show for the 27-year-old.
"From when I was in first grade, the first thing I would do when I came home was watch that show," he said. "It came on at 3:30, and we got out at 3:15."

Paleczny, now a resident of Chicago’s River North neighborhood, has had a knack for trivia ever since he turned 7 years old. He began playing early with the Northbrook Youth Commission’s Quiz Bowl.
