Pull for Kids Sporting Clay Shoot

Flora-Bama Beach Party & Mullet Toss

This is the 34th year for the legendary beach party and competitive fish-throwing contest. $10 cover charge for 21 and older, $15 for 13-20 year olds; entry for 21 and older only after 6 p.m. $45 for membership cards. Friends of West Florida Public Library’s Big Spring Book Sale

Spring St. Thousands of hardcover, paperback, and collectible books will be available for purchase, plus a variety of DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and other items. Proceeds are used to fund programs and enhancements at WFPL branches. During the Advance Sale, Friends of WFPL members get exclusive early access. Non-members can pay $5 to take part in preview day. Blackwater Poker Run

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, Milton River Walk. The Blackwater Poker Run unveils the Blackwater Maritime Heritage Trail Project. The run will feature seven card stops at historic sites from the raid. University of West Florida students will be present at each stop to give a short presentation on the site’s history and help participants collect cards.
