•Sagamore Spirit has launched a Cognac-finished whiskey, the latest limited release from the Baltimore, Maryland-based whiskey company. The 50.5% abv rye whiskey matures for four years before finishing for 8 months in ex-Cognac barrels. The Cognac finished whiskey joins a Port finished and two wine barrel finished whiskies in Sagamore’s portfolio. Sagamore Spirit Cognac Finish is now available for a limited time in the company’s distribution footprint for a suggested price of $70 a 750-ml. and joins the brand’s Signature and Cask Strength rye whiskies.

•San Diego, California-based Coronado Brewing Company has partnered with lifestyle and apparel brand Salty Crew to create Salty Crew Blonde Ale, a new year-round release. At 4.5% abv, the brew is a light-bodied session beer made with Nugget and Saaz hops. Salty Crew Blonde will debut at Coronado’s tasting room on October 12 and will remain a San Diego exclusive on draft and in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans through the end of the year. Wider distribution will follow in January of next year. Coronado Brewing distributes to 14 states.

•North Carolina-based Social House vodka has named Marnina Queen as vice president of sales. Prior to joining Social House, Queen was CEO of the New Hanover County Alcohol Beverage Control Board, and also previously held leadership roles at the Greensboro ABC Board and North Carolina ABC Commission. Founded by veterans of the restaurant, hospitality, and spirits industries, Social House is produced in Kinston, North Carolina by Three Stacks Distilling Co.
