North Dakota State Women's Basketball Releases 2018-19 Schedule

2018-19 Schedule

FARGO, N.D. – Fifteen home games at the Scheels Center inside the Sanford Health Athletic Complex and a game at Wisconsin highlight the 2018-19 North Dakota State University women's basketball schedule released on Friday, Aug. 17, by fifth season head coach Maren Walseth.

"I am excited about the year's non-conference schedule, as it will challenge us early and often," Walseth said. "I am thrilled we were able to schedule home games with Creighton and Milwaukee, as they are both highly competitive programs in our region. Our staff did a fantastic job of putting together a non-conference schedule that will prepare us for the very competitive Summit League."

This season's schedule also features five home Summit League doubleheaders with the NDSU men's basketball team.

"The doubleheaders in Summit League play will provide an electric atmosphere for our fans to enjoy both basketball programs in the Scheels Center," Walseth added.

North Dakota State opens the season with four consecutive home games, starting with an exhibition contest against Minnesota-Duluth Oct. 30. The Bison host Mayville State Nov. 6 for the regular season home opener before facing Creighton Nov. 9 and New Hampshire Nov. 11.

NDSU travels to Madison, Wis., to take on the Wisconsin Badgers for their first road test of the season Nov. 17 prior to heading west to Stockton, Calif., to face Pacific and North Texas in the Pacific Tiger Turkey Tip-Off Nov. 23 and 24.

The Bison wrap-up their four-game road swing with a contest at Northern Illinois Nov. 28.

North Dakota State returns home to the friendly confines of the Scheels Center for games against UMKC Dec. 2 and Milwaukee Dec. 9 before trekking to Valparaiso for a contest Dec.  16.

NDSU finishes its non-league schedule with a pair of games against Stetson and San Francisco in the 31st Annual Stetson Hatter Classic Dec. 19 and 21 in DeLand, Fla., and a home game against Waldorf University Jan. 30.

Summit League action tips off Dec. 28 when North Dakota State hosts Purdue Fort Wayne. The Bison start and end league play with four of six games at home. The Summit League home doubleheaders with NDSU men's basketball are slated for Dec. 28 and 30, and Feb. 9, 16, and 23.
