An Aggieland business is celebrating a big anniversary and giving back in a big way.

Copy Corner turned 30-years-old on November 1. The business has announced they are donating $30,000 towards a $500,000 matching grant for the new Fun For All Playground at Central Park.

The playground will serve people of all ages and physical abilities.

"They had the groundbreaking this week and I'm sitting out there and I was so moved by everybody's involvement that I said well that would be a great way to celebrate our 30 years," said Larry Hodges, Owner of Copy Corner.

"We started Copy Corner in 1988. Had two buddies and me. The two of them actually worked at Kinko's when they were in school," he said.

Since then they've seen success including working with more than 500 students who've been employed there.

Hodges says they wanted to make this year's anniversary a little more low key.

He's seen a lot of success with not only Copy Corner but also with the Double Dave's Pizza Restaurants in B/CS.

"We've been blessed there's no doubt about that and we're very proud of what we've done," said Hodges.

He hopes their giving will inspire others.

"I do. You know we've been blessed with a lot of great customers and I have a lot of amazing friends and they all do amazing things in our community," he said.

"And everybody has projects they support year in and year out. But I do hope that it maybe pushes some people to step up and make a difference," Hodges said.

Phase one of the Fun For All Playground is expected to be finished this coming spring.

Organizers tell us if they raise $500,000 they'll immediately be able to start on phase two.
