Former New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada and former Miami Dolphins wide receiver OJ McDuffie are just a two of the former pro athletes participating in the 10th annual Pinkball event this Saturday at the South County Regional Park baseball fields in Boca Raton.

Pinkball, an organization created to support women in need of a mammogram or breast ultrasound who lack health insurance, will hold a special All-Star game featuring the Palm Beach County Police Department against a team of notable former pro athletes.

Along with Posada and McDuffie, former Cincinnati Bengal Ki-Jana Carter, former Yankee and Seattle Mariner Jeff Nelson, former Marlin Edgar Renteria, 12-year MLB pitcher Tanyon Sturtze, former Mets and Red Sox slugger Mo Vaughn and former Marlin Preston Wilson will also be included in the Pinkball celebrity team.

The celebrity All-Star game is slated to begin at 1 p.m. and admission is free.

An hour before the game, a dedication ceremony for 2018 Pinkball breast cancer Survivor Shannon Lotitto will be held followed by the signing of the national anthem by “America’s Got Talent” star Sal Valentinetti.

Since its establishment in 2009, Pinkball has funded over 1,400 procedures at the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute.
