Cedric the Entertainer took over Blazers' press conference and analyzed win over Pacers

Cedric the Entertainer is a longtime Portland Trail Blazers fan – or, as he put it, he goes “so far back as a Blazer fan.”

So after watching Portland beat the Indiana Pacers, 100-86, on Thursday the comedian found his way to the Blazers’ podium and took over their postgame press conference. Before coach Terry Stotts could do it, Cedric the Entertainer offered his own analysis of the win, which included Damian Lillard’s team-high 26 points.

He said:

“Good team win tonight. We got out there, we worked the ball in transition. Early on, these guys were a little competitive – caught us off guard a little bit. But after I put my plan together, the guys just kind of really just organized themselves and got it together.”

Cedric also hilariously took credit for Jusuf Nurkic’s footwork Thursday night, saying the Portland center attended a camp of this over the summer.

Even when Stotts eventually did walk in the room, Cedric stepped away from the podium to let the real coach take some questions. But Stotts happily told the comedian to go back to the microphone and take some more questions.

He was then asked a very important question. Should Lillard be an All-Star? (He is not this year.)

“Of course. Next question.”
