Howard Stern discussed late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland dressing in woman’s clothing, along with Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, on a recent show. He said they could pull off wearing outfits looking like they were transitioning as legendary rockers, while Harry Styles doing it isn’t as cool.
MarksFriggin.com recapped: Howard said Chris Wilding was telling him about going out on a gay date and the guy told him he’s not gay enough for him. He said that guy must be looking for the guy on E!. Howard said he knows everyone wants to be famous but this is a gig you don’t want to have. Robin said she thinks that they do. Howard played more audio of them freaking out about Lady Gaga.
Howard said this is what the human race has been heading toward. He asked if Robin could do a show like that. Robin said she doesn’t get it. Howard played more of the hosts talking about Lady Gaga’s outfit changes.
Howard took a call from Ralph and told him to act like that when he tries on clothes. Ralph said a lot of those people looked ridiculous. He said Harry Styles was one of them. He said he looked like an asshole. Robin said this is going to change men’s fashion. Ralph said no it’s not. He said everyone thinks it looks ridiculous.
Howard said maybe Harry is transitioning. Howard said Perry Farrell would dress like that. He said so did Scott Weiland. He said they could pull it off though.
Howard played more audio of the E! hosts talking about the outfits they were looking at. Howard did his impression of the gay guy’s reaction to the outfits. Howard said they never criticize anything. Robin said they got in trouble for doing that in the past so that’s all they do now. Howard played more audio of the hosts and said he has to get that guy on the show. He did more of his impression of the guy getting excited about all of this stuff. Howard said you have to amp it up for this show.
