Man Who Died While Evading Pflugerville Police Identified
Darwin Adolfo Velasquez, 27, sped off after police tried pulling him over for a moving violation and died when his vehicle rolled over.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Police identified the man who died following a rollover accident this week while trying to evade police after a traffic stop.
The motorist was identified as Darwin Adolfo Velasquez, 27. His death came after police attempted to stop him for a moving violation early Sunday along northbound FM 685 near East Pfennig Lane. Instead of pulling over, police said, Velasquez turned eastbound on East Pflugerville Parkway and sped off at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle left the roadway near the 3500 block of East Pflugerville Parkway and rolled before coming to rest on property located north of the roadway, police said. Velasquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
