Colin Kaepernick is asking for a little help from his friends.
After pledging to make $100,000 donations until he reaches a total of $1 million, Kaepernick announced on Wednesday that his final donation would come in the form of a 10-day initiative, in which he’ll donate $10,000 to an organization that a celebrity will match.
The first donation will be to Silicon Valley De-Bug — a story-telling, community organizing, and advocacy organization based in San José, Calif. — and Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has joined in to bring the donation to $20,000.

Durant replied:”Thank you for all that you do brother @Kaepernick7″
Some of Kaepernick’s previous donations have gone to the Lower East Side Girls Club, NYC, 100 Suits for 100 Men in Queens, Black Veterans for Social Justice, the Center for Reproductive Rights in New York, the Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, and rapper J. Cole’s non-profit Dreamville.
In 2016, Kaepernick originally announced that he would open his checkbook to help groups that stand up for women, children, poor people, minorities and military veterans.
GQ Magazine named Kaepernick its 2017 “Citizen of the Year.” He was also the recipient of the 2017 Sports Illustrated Muhammad Ali Legacy Award.
