ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) — A 16-year old from Fredericksburg was charged Wednesday in the fatal shooting of an 18-year old at the Henry Clay Apartments in Ashland on Halloween night. 

According to a release from Ashland Police, the teen was arrested in Chesterfield County and has been charged with first-degree murder, robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and the distribution of marijuana. 

Authorities identified 18-year old Deshawn Burgos as the victim found shot to death at an apartment complex in Ashland on Oct. 31. 

Ashland police officers were called to the Henry Clay Apartment complex on Randolph Street just after 11:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Burgos suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
