Man charged in East Nashville robbery
A man who has been arrested over 20 times since 2005, according to police, has been arrested again and charged with robbing a man Thursday evening
Police said Edward Gordon, 34, robbed a male while the victim was walking with friends on South 14th Street near Boscobel Street in East Nashville.
Witnesses told police that Gordon approached the group at 7:15 p.m. and lifted his shirt, revealing a pistol in his waistband. The victim handed over $10 and the suspect fled on foot.
East Precinct officers found Gordon, who they said has a distinct grey patch of hair, at the intersection of South 14th and Holly Street.
Gordon was positively identified as the robber and had $10 in his front pocket.
Gordon has been convicted previously for attempted robbery, domestic assault, assault and drug possession. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.
