Denise Richards' wedding date held a special significance for her new husband

The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star tied the knot with Aaron Phypers last Saturday (08.09.18) just days after confirming their engagement, and their "beautiful" nuptials were organised in a rush so they could take place on a meaningful date

Denise explained: "Aaron and I have been together since June 2017. We kept the engagement private.

"He really wanted to marry on September 8 because eight means infinity. We called [wedding planner] Mindy Weiss and she did it less than 48 hours and it was beautiful."

The 'World is Not Enough' actress - who has daughters Sam, 14, and Lola,13, with first husband Charlie Sheen, as well as seven-year-old Eloise, who she adopted alone - caused a stir with her unconventional wedding outfit, but the lace romper with a long tulle skirt was exactly what she wanted for her big day because it was so different to her first bridal gown.

She told People magazine: "I didn't want to do a traditional wedding dress.

"I wore a traditional dress for my first wedding, so I wanted something different this time.

"My dress was actually a romper which was perfect since we left the reception on Aaron's motorcycle. I didn't take the tulle skirt off until I got on his bike. I loved the skirt so much I wore it the entire evening."

But the 47-year-old actress didn't pay attention to any of the critics of her outfit as she "loved" her look and thought it was perfect for the celebration.

She said: "I didn't know there were so many opinions on what I wore. I stopped reading stuff about me online a long time ago.

"I loved what I wore -- it was fun and sexy and I thought appropriate for a Malibu wedding by the beach."
