Normangee wins playoff series opener against Harper

The Normangee softball team beat Harper 6-2 Thursday night in game one of a best of three regional semifinal playoff series.
The Lady Panthers got an RBI base hit from Madison Light in the first inning to take the lead. Harper would tie the game in the third inning but Normangee answered with two runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning.
Game two of the series will be played Saturday afternoon at 2:00 back at Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop. If a game three is necessary it will be played Saturday following game two.
