A Glen Burnie woman died Thursday when her car crossed a center line on a snowy road and was hit by a county utility truck, police say.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A Glen Burnie woman died Thursday morning when her car crossed a center line on a snowy road and was hit by a county utility truck, Anne Arundel County Police say. Victoria Lewis-Johnson, 25, of the 300 block of Wye Court in Glen Burnie, was driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber that crashed on Grover Road near Daniels Purchase Way in Millersville.

Lewis-Johnson's car was southbound on Grover Road about 10:30 a.m. when she lost control and her vehicle crossed the double yellow centerline. The Dodge was then struck broadside by a Ford 250 utility work truck northbound. Authorities did not specify which county department the truck belongs to; the driver is Terrance Smith, 50, of Upper Marlboro.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel pronounced Lewis-Johnson dead at the scene. Smith suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police say the main cause of the crash was the Dodge failed to remain right of center. Contributing circumstances are believed to be the Dodge traveling at a speed greater than reasonable for the snowy conditions. The case will be reviewed by the state'sattorney.

Another serious crash involved a woman and two children, who were seriously hurt in a South County crash Thursday morning when their SUV crossed a center line and collided with a car. Anne Arundel County Police say snow and rain could have been a factor in the accident.
