Huawei P20 and P20 Plus gets listed on TENAA
Huawei is gearing up to launch several smartphones on the market soon.
Huawei is gearing up to launch several smartphones on the market soon. Probably the launch will happen on March 27 as the company will holding an event to announce something. As far as speculations go, the company is expected to bring Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and P20 Lite smartphones.
Interestingly these Huawei smartphones have been doing rounds in the rumors and they have also been leaked on several occasions. As such one of the handsets, Huawei P20 Lite has been recently certified by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S.
While we were waiting for more news to pop up, the other two devices Huawei P20 and P20 Plus handsets have now appeared on TENAA, a telecom regulatory body of China. However, the TENAA listing doesn't reveal much about the devices nor does it contain the image of the devices. But those should be put up soon as well now that the smartphones have appeared on the certification site.
If you recall, previously a popular tipster had revealed that Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and P20 Lite have been codenamed as Emily, Charlotte, and Anne respectively. The listing reveals the smartphone with code name EML-TL00 and EML-AL00 but these apprantely are said to be carrier variants of the upcoming Huawei P20. Interestingly reports state that "EML" could actually stand for Emily P20 smartphone.
Further, the listing also reveals CLT-AL00 and CLT-AL00 which again is said to be carrier variants of the Huawei P20 Plus. Here "CLT" most likely stands for Charlotte P20 Plus.
But there is one handset that seems to be missing, the ANN model. While we have now seen EML and CLT phones and they have been reported to be Emily P20 and Charlotte P20 Plus smartphones, there should be a listing for ANN - Anne P20 Lite phone as well. But the surprising thing here is that none of the Huawei phones that have been listed on TENAA have "ANN" in their model number. We are speculating the case though.
Meanwhile, two other Huawei phones with model numbers ATU-AL10 and ATU-TL10 has been listed on TENAA. As of now, we don't know or there is no confirmation whether these are the carrier variants of P20 Lite. There is also a possibility of them being some other Huawei smartphone that we haven't heard about so far.
In any case, more details should pop up in the coming days and we will update you on the same.
