Menards Saw Thief Threatened Security Guard: Complaint
The arrest took place at the Menards in Bolingbrook.
BOLINGBROOK, IL - Shoppers know that when you enter a business, you are not allowed to just walk out of the store with anything you want. However, a man in his sixties from Chicago now finds himself in trouble with Will County's criminal justice system in connection with a Bolingbrook Police Department investigation. The incident occurred back on Jan. 26 at the Menards on North Bolingbrook Drive.
According to the criminal complaint that was filed last Thursday, Curtis L. Rogers, who turns 62 next month, faces two criminal charges of retail theft and one count of assault. A relative informed a Will County judge that Rogers is currently in Cook County's custody. A bench warrant has been issued for his arrest in Will County.
According to the complaint, Rogers is accused of entering the Bolingbrook Menards and stealing a saw and also taking an air nailer. Then, things went downhill, court documents outline.
