The DCU Center brought the 90s kids of Worcester back in time during their "I Love the 90s" event Friday night.
Hundreds of classic and old school hip-hop fans waved their hands, moved their feet and drank neon-colored cocktails while listening to performances by masters of the genre.
The performances featured classic 90s hip-hop, soul and R&B. Biz Markie, Sisqo, Montell Jordan, Kid 'n Play and more brought the 90s kid out of everyone in the audience.
The event started at 7:30 with a t-shirt contest hosted by the night's emcee. Contestants were invited from the audience and quizzed on theme songs from popular 90s shows.
Plaid shirts, B-Boy outfits and other classic 90s attire was the dress code for the night. But most importantly, you had to know the hits. When the artists turned the mic away from their mouths, the audience was always there, belting the song word-for-word to keep the music going.
