Latest victim: On Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show, Ariana Grande joined producer Andy Lassner through the American Horror Story maze at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood
The chat show hostess introduced the clip whilst dressed as Lady GaGa, who won a Golden Globe this year for her work on the FX anthology drama's fifth series.
At the beginning of the video, Grande stood outside the maze next to Lassner, already clutching his arm.
As they entered the attraction, they tentatively crossed a dilapidated corridor that appeared to be from the first series' Murder House. Cracked walls and a sloppily boarded up window amplified the ambiance.
Bravado: As they started into the attraction, they tried to reassure themselves
Getting into the spirit: Yet as time wore on, the Boca Raton native let the scares affect her
The 23-year-old reassured herself that 'It's fine' and 'It's not bad,' as the 49-year-old reminded her that 'It's just noise.'
With perfect timing, a painting on the wall swung inwards and the Rubber Man - a first series character in a black latex gimp suit - through the gap, stretching a hand toward the guests.
Grande cursed and retreated into a ball on the floor, prompting the Bogotá native to lean down to her and lift her up, blustering: 'We got this! We got this!'
Kicking off the proceedings: The first character to terrorise them was series one's Rubber Man in a black latext gimp suit
In need of assistance: At her first scare, the 23-year-old retreated into a ball on the floor, and her companion had to help her up
They continued into a shambolic bedroom with false fire sizzling through the wooden walls. 'It's bad,' the Focus singer amended. 'It's bad.'
More people in frightening gear sprang from the walls, frightening both visitors to the point that Lassner started hectoring them: 'Stop! Go in. Go in!'
Once the two travellers got into a cramped lavatory, the Pig Man - a murderer on the programme who wears a porcine mask on his head - leapt from behind the shower curtain, brandishing a meat cleaver.
Coming out swinging: Among the other characters to leap out at the guests was the cleaver-wielding Pig Man, a murderer who wears a porcine mask on his head
They wandered into the Freak Show section, inspired by the setting of the fourth series. 'Is this fun at all for you?' said Lassner, and when his companion answered in the affirmative, he frettted: 'It's my nightmare.'
'My legs are shaking,' the Boca Raton native said as they entered yet another bedroom - at which point the emaciated Addiction Demon from series five popped up from a tear in the mattress. 'What the f***?' Lassner shouted. 'Get the f*** in bed!'
They kept reminding themselves all the dangers were false, to very little avail: all the scares in the maze still got emphatic reactions.
'Get the f*** in bed!': Another was the emaciated Addiction Demon from the fifth series
In fact, at one point, Lassner cowered and clutched his knees as Grande continued through the maze, unaware she was alone.
'Where the f*** is Andy, man?' she said, spinning round and finally catching sight of him. She ran back and grabbed him, and they progressed down the corridors.
Keeping an arm around her, Lassner began to upbraid her a bit: 'I need you to stick with me. You abandoned me, and that doesn't work for me.'
'You ran away!' Grande retorted, and as they went on, multiple figures turned up to terrorise them with knives.
Getting to him: The 49-year-old frequently shouted back at the characters who sprang forth to give him a scare
When the Fat Lady from the Freak Show series emerged from the shadows, the producer screamed: 'You're big!' As if on cue, a small man in a black top hat popped up, prompting Lassner to squeal: 'You're tiny!'
Once they finally made it out of the maze, Grande decided: 'It wasn't bad.' Lassner laughed weakly in painfully apparent disagreement.
'I didn't love that,' he said, 'I'm a little nervous,' and the Victorious actress admitted a little fear of her own: 'Somewhere in there is my heart.'
As she said: 'Thank you, Ellen!' to the camera, he resolved: 'This is the last year we're doing it.'
'You abandoned me': At one point, he upbraided the singer for continuing on whilst he cowered behind
