Ben Sobolewski and John Eggenberger, the owners of 9 Planets Comics and Collectibles in Dearborn Heights, 20702 Van Born Road have launched a new popular culture series on Youtube.

The show, which debuted Jan. 26 is sponsored by the shop, but it is more than just promotion for the store and it’s inventory.

Called “2nuts, 1 banana” the show features the hosts along with a 4 foot long banana in a superhero suit.

Eggenberger and Sobolewski will discuss anything and everything pop culture related on the show, which will run 20 to 30 minutes weekly.

On the first episode they gave a tour of the store, but after that they had a segment called “What’s in Ben’s Toy Box” that featured some of Sobolewski’s favorite toys, and promises to talk more in depth on specific figures with reviews and more in future episodes.

Each segment featured appearances from “Super Banana,” as voiced by Eggenberger, and included a joke segment and comic book reviews as well.

The show closed with a news segment where they talked about professional wrestling and pop culture happenings.
