State police in Lebanon County have charged two Newmanstown men with burglarizing a rental locker at Newmanstown Storage Inc. three years ago.

Investigators received a tip during an unrelated probe that Riley Hernley, 21, and Cody Black, 22, broke into the facility on North Street off Sheridan Road in Millcreek Township in 2013, Trooper Norbert J. Brennan said.

Brennan interviewed both men and they admitted to their involvement.

According to Brennan:

The pair climbed the security fence and broke into the unit sometime in November 2013. They took multiple hand tools from a tool chest and several prescription pills.

They were charged by summons with burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property and conspiracy. The charges were filed at District Judge Anthony Verna’s office in Lebanon.

The defendants haven’t been arraigned.
