A chance to see Alaska. Boarded in Whittier on May 26th. All seemed ok the first night. However as the week progressed, we were subjected to a sewage smell throughout the ship. The food was mediocre at best in any of the dining options. we never ate in the specialty restaurants. There were water drips on the top deck and the carpet in our stateroom was stained and wet by the balcony door. Entertainment was pretty boring. Getting off and on in ports was easy. Bedding was comfortable- in fact that was the best part! Bar staff and room steward were great. Some of the wait staff in the dining options were good but overall felt as if we were bothering them by being there. Disappointed that we were charged $13.50 a day in tips when they did not deserve it. Would prefer to tip based on service. Golden Princess needs a lot of work. Rarely saw any of the ships top managers. Would not cruise on this ship.

It was great except for balcony door hard to open. Wet carpet and stains.
