MOSCOW MILLS, Mo. — People in Lincoln County are rallying around a police officer and his family after they lost their home just before Christmas.
Thursday, a fire broke out on the 200 block of Hammerstone Drive in Moscow Mills, Mo., and it took crews from six fire departments — including Old Monroe, Wentzville, Hawk Point, Winfield, Elsberry, and the LC Ambulance District — to help lessen the flames. The home was a total loss, but the Lincoln County Fire Protection District said the family was not hurt.
Since then, a St. Charles, Mo. woman started a GoFundMe page for Montana and Kritsen Stephenson. The fundraiser, which was started by Nikki Stephenson, raised over $12,000 in its first seven hours.
