Clinton “Kelly” E. Odell

Clinton “Kelly” E. Odell, 63, a resident of Salem, Ore., passed away at his home March 26, 2017. He was born July 29, 1953, to Clinton Edwin and Joan Barbara (Damitz) Odell in Roseville, Calif.

Raised in California and Washington, Kelly graduated high school in Curtis, Wash., in 1971. Shortly after his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corps where he served his country honorably in Vietnam.

After Kelly returned home, he met Nancy Elizabeth Cabe and they were married in 1975. He joined the Carpenters Union, local 2127 in Centralia and worked in heavy construction all over the U.S., retiring from the Michels Corporation in 2013, as a vice president and general manager.

He enjoyed golf, fishing and was an avid sportsman. Kelly published several articles in Trenchless Technology.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Kelli A. Odell (Brent Rutkowski); son, Scott Odell (Ashley); and granddaughter, Addison.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
