An Arizona woman is behind bars after she faked having breast cancer to raise money for a boob job.
Jami Lynn Toler has landed a one-year stint in jail for conning family and friends into donating over $8,000 for a mastectomy she never needed.
The 27-year-old told her mother and grandmother that she had to get a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction and didn’t have insurance, according to police reports.

She fed her former boss the same story.
Starting in September 2011, Toler set up a series of fundraisers for her fake cause and created an online donation page “Jamis Hope” on the website GiveForward, local television station KTVK-TV reported.
She raised $8,300 before the page was shut down.
“I am so sorry for violating the trust of those who cared for me,” Toler said in court Wednesday. “I am so sorry for what I did.”

Toler’s scheme started to raise eyebrows when a generous doctor offered to treat her for free – and she refused, police said.
Medical records confirmed that Toler didn’t have breast cancer. In the meantime, Toler went for a breast augmentation consultation in October 2011 and used cash to pay for the operation in November.
Carmen Klemis, one of Toler’s former coworkers, eventually became suspicious and called the cops.
“She took money knowingly from these folks who were just trying to help someone they believed had a debilitating disease,” prosecutor Thomas Marquoit said. “That’s terrible.”

After a year in jail, Toler will serve three years of probation. She also must pay back the thousands she stole from her 17 victims.
