Escaped NH Inmate Last Seen In Tyngsborough
Officials say Jeffrey Groulx fled toward the Chelmsford/Lowell area Saturday and has ties to Westford and Winchendon.
TYNGSBOROUGH, MA – An escaped inmate from New Hampshire was last seen in Massachusetts over the weekend, corrections officials in both states said. Jeffrey William Groulx, 45, was serving time at a state prison in Concord, NH for an armed robbery conviction in Massachusetts.
Groulx was eligible for release in 2020, according to police. He escaped Friday, Feb. 22.
Groulx was last seen Saturday, Feb. 23 around 3:15 p.m. on the 100 block of Middlesex Road in Tyngsborough. He fled on foot in the direction of Chelmsford and Lowell.

Groulx has tapered dark hair and was wearing gray sweatpants, a red hooded sweatshirt under a black jacket, black sneakers and a dark backpack, officials said.
He has ties to Lowell, Westford, Winchendon and New Hampshire, police said. Anyone with information is asked to not try and detain him and call the DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 508-473-9509, Captain Wright at 774-292-2823 or local or state police.
