Developing: Winter weather cancellations, Jan. 3
Cancellations:
• The Stewart Mann & The Statesboro Revue show, scheduled for 10 p.m. Saturday at Austin's Texas Pub, 3121 S.W. Sixth Ave., has been cancelled.
• Amarillo Fellowship Church, 8425 Bell St., all services cancelled EXCEPT for the 11 a.m. service.
• Christ Lutheran Church, 2400 N. Coulter St., has cancelled services for Sunday.
• First Baptist Church (Bushland), 1800 Farm-to-Market 2381, has cancelled all Sunday services.
• First Baptist Church (Hereford), 500 Main St., has cancelled Sunday school classes and Sunday evening service. Sunday morning worship will be at 10:50 a.m.
• Generation Next Worship Center, 3503 S.W. Sixth Ave., has cancelled Sunday service.
• Messiah's House, 514 W. Eighth Ave., has cancelled Saturday evening service and Sunday morning EQIPP classes.
• Paramount Baptist Deaf Church, 3817 Holiday Dr., has cancelled Sunday school classes.
• Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk St., has cancelled their 8:30 a.m. service. Sunday school and the 10:55 a.m. worship service are still scheduled.
• Temple Baptist Church, 3208 S. Van Buren St., has cancelled all Sunday services.
Postponements/Rescheduled events:
• The Amarillo Museum of Art (2200 S. Van Buren St.) open party scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled as a closing party from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10. Installation hours have been extended to include 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The exhibition will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday during regular AMoA hours. Admission for closing reception is free for AMoA members and $10 per person for nonmembers. Participating artists are welcome to take their artwork home at the end of the evening.
Notes:
• Westgate Mall, 7701 W. I-40, will close at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
• New Beginnings Baptist Church, 630 N. Bivins, will have one 3 p.m. Sunday service.
• Victory Church, 6300 Arden Rd., will have one combined church service at 11 a.m.
