Durhamville, NY teen Jette Collins posted to Facebook Wednesday in hopes of finding his biological father, a man he says his mother met at the very first “K-Rockathon” in 1996 in Syracuse.
Collins only knows his biological father’s first name, Jason, and that he is from Syracuse.
The inaugural K-Rockathon was held July 28, 1996 at the Vernon Downs race track in Vernon, New York and featured artists like Butthole Surfers, Reverend Horton Heat and The Verve Pipe.
Collins, 18, is a Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School graduate who turns 19 next month, though his Facebook page says he was born in April 1996.
As seen on his Facebook post, Collins wrote, “I don’t know if this actually works but I’m going to try it, just hoping for the best and a little luck. Help a kid out.”
