The 30-year-old presenter took part in the star-studded special for Comic Relief - which saw teams of famous men and women pitted against one another to organise a cabaret evening - and he admitted he found it "really difficult" having his freedom restricted during filming.

He said: "'The Apprentice' was potentially the worst three days of my life.

"You're only allowed to do certain things at certain times, which is obviously what makes a TV show.

"It was like I was a contestant on 'The X Factor' again where you're not in control.

"And I've worked so hard for the last seven years to be in control of when I go for a wee, and to be told I can't go for a wee yet, I just found it really difficult.

"I have so much more compassion for the contestants now."

While other contestants have admitted to being afraid of show boss Lord Alan Sugar, Rylan admitted sitting in the boardroom under the gaze of his assistant Baroness Karren Brady was far more scary.

He told the new issue of OK! magazine: "Karren - or as I like to call her, Baroness Brady of Knightsbridge CBE.co.uk - has got the stare and she has this ability to make you doubt the sky is blue. She has this weird baroness power."

Meanwhile the former 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' host admitted it is really difficult for him to go out without being recognised.

He said: "If I do have a rare night out, I want no one to recognise me. It's harder to do that now, though, not because I'm anything special, but because I am 20ft tall with massive teeth!"
