Former Spy Chiefs To Address Desert Town Hall

Former chief of British Secret Intelligence and the former director of the CIA will share their stories at popular speaker series.

INDIAN WELLS, CA – Former CIA and NSA Director Michael Hayden and the former British Secret Intelligence Service Chief, Sir John Scarlett, will be in Indian Wells Friday to start off this year's inaugural Desert Town Hall speaker series.

The series' 26th annual season begins with the former intelligence heads discussing their careers and sharing their combined expertise over decades with an audience at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa.

Hayden, 72, is a retired four-star U.S. Air Force general and former director of the CIA and NSA. Scarlett, 69, is the former chief of the British Secret Intelligence Service, otherwise known as MI6.

Local singers Richard Casabonne and Mona Caywood are also slated to perform prior to the 6 p.m. lecture.

Tickets for this year's Desert Town Hall events are sold out, but names can be placed on a wait-list.

Speakers scheduled for the series through March include the husband and wife duo of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and retired astronaut Mark Kelly, former U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy, and FOX News Sunday host Chris Wallace.
