Drillers To Host South Division Foes At ONEOK Field

The Tulsa Drillers will host a pair South Division teams during a six-game homestand that starts on Wednesday, June 2. The Midland RockHounds (Oakland Athletics) will be at ONEOK Field for a three-game set from June 2-4. The Frisco RoughRiders (Texas Rangers) will provide the opposition for the final three games June 5-7.

All but two of the games in the homestand will begin at 7:05PM. The two exceptions include the game on Saturday, June 5 that will start at 6:05PM and the contest on Sunday, June 6 that will begin at 2:05PM.

Promotions during the homestand will include Clunker Car Night and Thirsty Thursday on Thursday, June 3 and Friday Night Fireworks on Friday, June 4. Other activities will also include Saturday Nights Live on Saturday, June 5, Family Funday Sunday on Sunday, June 6 and Girls Night Out on Monday, June 7.

Tickets for all six games in the homestand are now on sale at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office at 201 N. Elgin Avenue and at TulsaDrillers.com. Tickets are also available by calling (918)744-5901.

NO PLACE LIKE ONEOK: Pitcher Bruce Billings is enjoying the Drillers new home. The right-hander has won three of his four starts at ONEOK Field while accumulating a 3.47 ERA.

Offensively, Daniel Mayora is off to a quick start at ONEOK. In home games this season, the infielder is hitting .340 with 2 homers and 10 runs batted in. He has collected three 3-hit games in Tulsa.

ROSTER SHUFFLE: The Drillers have placed Jeff Kindel on the disabled list with an elbow injury. His spot on the active roster has been filled by Warren Schaeffer. The infielder was batting .256 with two home runs and 16 runs batted in at Triple A Colorado Springs this season.

TOUGH FOE: Frisco has the best road record in the Texas League this season. The RoughRiders are 14-8 in games away from home.

ATTENDANCE: Paid attendance for the first 21 games at ONEOK Field has been 133,028, an average of 6,335 fans for each opening.

Thursday, June 3 . . . . . . vs. Midland RockHounds (7:05PM) - Gates Open at 6:00PM THIRSTY THURSDAY/ CLUNKER CAR NIGHT Thirsty Thursday returns to ONEOK Field, but this time with an added bonus! Fans can register to win one of our "Clunker Cars," as well as purchase 12 oz. servings of Miller Lite and Coors Light and 16 oz. servings of soft drinks for only $1 each. The "Clunkers" will be on display before the game along Elgin Avenue between Archer and Brady Streets. Registration forms for the cars will be located in the Drillers 2010 Inaugural Season Programs. Friday, June 4 . . . . . . vs. Midland RockHounds (7:05PM) - Gates Open at 6:00PM FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS/ FRITOS® FAMILY FRIDAY U.S. Cellular presents another Friday Night Fireworks with the skies over ONEOK Field and downtown Tulsa lighting up following the Drillers game with the RockHounds. In addition, the U.S. Cellular Mobile Tour will be set up on the outfield plaza with several fun activities available for fans. You can make Friday night family night with FRITOS® corn chips and America's pastime. Fans will be randomly selected to take part in special ballpark experiences like throwing out the first pitch. Sunday, June 6 . . . . . . vs. Frisco RoughRiders (2:05PM) - Gates Open at 12:30PM TTCU FAMILY FUNDAY SUNDAY/ PAINT YOUR OWN HORNSBY / KIDS CLINIC It's another TTCU The Credit Union Family FUNday Sunday! The first 500 kids, ages 12 and under, will eat free compliments of Assurant Health. Kids will receive a free hot dog, milk and ice cream dessert. In addition, the first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive a paint-your-own Hornsby bobblehead courtesy of TTCU The Credit Union and K95.5 FM.
