Crashing Pete Holmes

Pete Holmes, John Mulaney, Regina Spektor & more playing 'Crashing Live' in NYC

Pete Holmes‘ HBO series Crashing, which is loosely based on his time as a struggling comedian in NYC, returns for its third season on January 20, and this year will feature John Mulaney, Amy Schumer, Ray Romano, Colin Quinn, and Dave Attell in recurring guest roles. You can watch the trailer below.

When the series debuted, Pete went on a “Crashing” tour with producer Judd Apatow and co-star Artie Lange. They’re not doing that this year but there is a “Crashing Live” show in NYC on January 15 at Gramercy Theater, a “night of comedy and music” featuring Holmes, Judd Apatow, John Mulaney, cast members and comedians Jamie Lee and Jaboukie Young-White, and fulfilling the music part, Regina Spektor. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, December 14 at 10 AM with various presales beginning Wednesday (12/12) at 10 AM.

Elsewhere, Pete Holmes has been making the promo rounds, appearing on the most recent episode of hot sauce interview show Hot Ones and Jimmy Kimmel Live. You can watch those segments below.

John Mulaney, meanwhile, was on Fallon last night, where he recounted his story of taking SNL’s Pete Davidson to see Steely Dan at Beacon Theatre, where Davidson (who had never heard the band before) got the entire crowd to stand. You can watch that, and the video John shot from the show, below.

Mulaney is performing at a benefit at BAM in January with Jim Gaffigan and Mike Birbiglia, and then and even bigger benefit, Garden of Laughs at the Hulu Theatre at MSG in April with Jon Stewart, Michael Che, Tiffany Haddish and more.
