AuburnTigers.com launches new responsive design

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn Athletics Department launched a redesigned AuburnTigers.com on Thursday, taking advantage of new responsive technology to merge the traditional desktop site with one that caters to all devices. The new look also taps into the strong visual content created by the Auburn Athletics creative team.

"Telling the story of the Auburn Family is a big focus of the Auburn Athletics Department," Chief Marketing Officer Ward Swift said. "Our ability to maximize our content on our digital platforms is vital to our success in telling those stories."

The new digital product portfolio includes state of the art responsive web, enhanced mobile, integrated social media, live video streaming, video on demand and custom content.

The website has become a hub for original Auburn Athletics content produced by writers Charles Goldberg and Jeff Shearer, veteran sports journalists who both now work for auburntigers.com. Goldberg covered Auburn for The Birmingham News and al.com for three decades prior to joining the Auburn Athletics Department as senior writer, while Shearer recently completed nearly 25 years as Sports Director at WSFA 12 News in Montgomery.

The website offers fans key new features, including:

  • Video integrated directly on the home page for easier fan discovery
  • Auburn's Athletics' social media platforms
  • Fully responsive site design, which allows users to view content across all desktop, mobile, and tablet devices
  • Quick access to Auburn's ecommerce sites ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" AU Team Shop, , PhotoStore, AUBTIX

The new website and portfolio of digital products was developed in partnership with Auburn's multimedia rights holder, IMG, and leading college athletics web provider, CBS Interactive.
