CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Rockport's Wendell Family Fireworks Show
The Wendell Family Fireworks Show will take place on July 4. Organizers said residents do not have to be at the beach to view the show. The show can be seen from their homes, boats or cars.
Rockport Beach will be closed Fourth of July weekend to vehicular. This begins Thursday, July 2 at midnight. The beach will reopen Tuesday, July 7.
Officials made the decision after other Texas beaches made the decisions to close. Aransas County Navigation District boat ramps will remain open except the beach ramp.
Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History Red, White and Blue Bash
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will be hosting their Red, White and Blue Bash this holiday weekend.
Expect to see Fourth of July science shows and live historical actors playing Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.

Kiewit's Annual Fireworks Display
Ingleside Police Department posted to Facebook announcing the cancellation of Kiewit's annual fireworks display due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions put in place for large gatherings.
Corpus Christi's Big Bang Celebration
“In order to protect out friends and neighbors, we need to postpone the fireworks.” said Mayor Joe McComb.
Mayor McComb said they are looking for alternative dates, but a date has not been decided.
Corpus Christi's Annual Food Truck Summerfest
The event was set to take place July 4 at The Water’s Edge. The organizers are working with the Parks and Recreation Department to reschedule the event for a later date.
Island Blast Fireworks Display - Rescheduled for a later date.
2020 Independance Day in Port Aransas - canceled.
