Gigi and Bella Hadid are proving to be some of the most hard working heiresses around. Despite their obvious leg up in the modelling industry (being daughters of model Yolanda Hadid and featuring on reality TV shows at a young age), the sisters have ensured that their modelling dues are being paid one early morning shoot and arduous runway rehearsal at a time.

After walking Brandon Maxwell’s SS19, colour-block sensation, NYFW show with sister Gigi, 21 year-old Bella told Teen Vogue her top tips for making it in the modelling industry.

‘100% it would be just to be yourself and to not try to be anybody else,’ the former equestrian explained backstage.

‘And it sounds so cliché, but you see girls backstage sometimes that finally, now, after three years of being in the business, can be themselves and show who they really are, and it's the best part about them. Sometimes people try to get put into a box, and there are no boxes here.’

The California girl also noted that it’s not about perfection - her sister was famously mocked for her early catwalk strut and endured the commentry to become 2015's Model of the Year.

Bella explained that it doesn't really matter , 'if your walk is a little wobbly', because it's really all 'about the relationships you make, about the kindness that you spread, and obviously working really hard you have to have a great mindset to be in this business.'

She concluded, 'If anybody wants to try modelling, and if that's their passion then do it 100%. There's room for everybody in the business to succeed and I think that people try to pick and choose, but there's enough room for everybody if you work hard enough, for sure.'

Sound advice from 2018's fashion darling.
