OVID TWP. — One person was killed about 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Shepardsville Road, between Kinley and Faragher roads, a press release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office stated.
According to the press release, a 59-year-old Ovid woman with two teenage passengers, lost control of her southbound vehicle due to snow on the road and slid sideways into the path of a northbound pickup truck occupied by a 34-year-old Elsie man, his 24-year-old wife, a 2-year-old child and an infant.
A 14-year-old passenger in the back seat of the southbound vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, the press release stated. The other two occupants were transported to Sparrow Health System in Lansing and were reported in critical condition.
The four occupants in the northbound pickup were uninjured, according to the press release.
The Sheriff’s office has not released the name of the individual who died.
The incident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
